Jack Moody: PLASMAIDE's Latest Pro Athlete

Jack Moody PLASMAIDE Pro

New Zealand-based triathlete Jack Moody has risen from a self-described 'run-of-the-mill athlete' to one of the sport's most exciting prospects. We are thrilled to announce Jack, known as "Texas," is now a PLASMAIDE Pro.

Reflecting on his journey with PLASMAIDE, Jack says, "I've been lucky enough to be using PLASMAIDE for almost six months now, and its range of applications is incredible. It's made long-haul travel easier, boosted those harder sessions, and even kept away the winter bugs. It truly is quite a remarkable product."

Jack's triathlon journey began in 2016 with a group challenge to complete the Rotorua Half Ironman, where he impressively finished fifth in his first middle-distance race.

Hooked on the sport, Jack soon won his age group at IRONMAN 70.3 Taupo in 2017 and secured a silver medal at the XTERRA World Championships in Maui before turning professional in 2018. Jack claimed victory in his debut season as a pro at the Rotorua Suffer half-distance event.

Jack's career highlights include:

  • 2nd place at the New Zealand Middle Distance Championships during the Tauranga Half in 2019
  • Podium finish at IRONMAN 70.3 Japan in 2019

Despite his success, Jack's path has been challenging. Jack's resilience shone through after a severe crash at 70.3 Japan in 2019 when he recovered from shoulder surgery and finished second in his age group at XTERRA.

As Jack Moody continues to push the boundaries of what's possible in triathlon, we're proud to have PLASMAIDE as part of his journey. Stay tuned for more from Jack as he excels in the sport.
