An Unforgettable Weekend in the Pyrénées, with some PLASMAIDE Champions.
Our lucky winners, Milena (19) from Germany and Stu (37) from the USA were flown to Font Romeu, France to spend two days training with our PLASMAIDE Pro's Kristian Blummenfelt and Gustav Iden.
Little did they know, their two days were about to turn into four, as Kristian and Gustav surprised them and extended the training camp.
But the surprises didn’t stop there for Milena and Stu, they then found out that Casper Stornes would be training with them as well!
DAY 1 - Run, Open Water Swim and Bike Ride
The first day started with a 60 minute run on a flat terrain, following this Kristian and Gustav took our winners for a one (1) hour open water swim. After their swim the group went for lunch which gave our winners the opportunity to spend some quality time with Kristian, Gustav and Casper and pick their brains on all things triathlon and training before they all took off for a 90 minute bike ride.
The day ended with a group dinner.
DAY 2 - Indoor Swim and Vo2 testing
Day 2 was originally planned to be a day that our winners would spend with Professor Alison Heather to go through various performance testing; however they were again surprised when they found out they would be joining Gustav, Kristian and Casper for an extra training session, an indoor swim.
Following their swim session our winners then spent time with the head of our PLASMAIDE Science Advisory Board, Professor Alison Heather. Using the NNOXX device Prof. Heather put our winners on the bike and tested their Vo2 levels after consuming PLASMAIDE and the results were unbelievable!
Stay tuned for a detailed report on results from Prof. Heather.
DAY 3 - Bike Ride
On day three Milena and Stu joined Gustav, Kristian and Casper in the morning for a bike ride with a 1200m elevation, learning how to descend with Kristian from Bolquère to Olette. In the afternoon they ran intervals with lactate testing with Prof. Alison Heather.
DAY 4 - Mobility stretching and swim
On the final day Milena and Stu joined Gustav, Kristian and Casper at the local pool for a mobility session with core work followed by a swim session. Our winners were able to learn first hand from the guys their mobility and core routine and how they look after their bodies to help prevent injuries.
